Focus Deliberately
SB4 relative to SB3...
In SB3 Live Your Ideals we discussed clarifying your values and ideals to become clear on who you are, who you want to be, and what is truly important to you.
In SB4 Focus Deliberately we discuss the practice of focusing deliberately to help transform your ideals into reality to create a rich, satisfying life that’s in alignment with your ideals.
Why is focusing deliberately so important?
Because it helps create and maintain the desired State of Being conducive to manifesting what you truly want.
Becoming a vibrational athlete…
During daily life, we encounter many different circumstances, and most people allow these to determine their mood. They let circumstances drive their State of Being.
IF things are going well, they are happy, if NOT, they are sad or angry or depressed or confused or discouraged. In the 2k paradigm we are told that the right circumstance will make us feel happy, or successful, or whole. If we ONLY had enough money, or the right lover, or life partner, or a better house, better car, or better career, THEN everything would be alright, and we would be happy.
But in 3k understanding, we know exactly the REVERSE is true.
You don’t need all those things to feel good, you need to feel good first and all those things and more will come to you, because…
Circumstances don’t matter… only State of Being matters.
To transform and convert your values, ideals, wants and desires into reality you must FIRST cultivate a conducive State of Being to facilitate the desired outward physical representation of your inner state.
Cultivate the conducive State of Being,
and you will rendezvous with desired circumstances.
So, how does one conjure up and cultivate a desired state of being?
Managing your mood and vibration...
One practice that helps with this is focusing deliberately on elements in your reality that are pleasing to you, which enhance your mood, vibration, and State of Being.
Appreciate what you prefer and ignore what you don’t prefer. Water the flowers, not the weeds.
Focus on, appreciate, and celebrate all that is ALREADY going right and is to your liking in your life, and is as you prefer, and MORE circumstances to appreciate and like, will appear.
Focusing on desired elements of form that already exist, helps sustain and AMPLIFY the desired State of Being, which in turn brings additional manifestations, or elements of form, into reality.
It become a self reinforcing cycle.
The better it gets, the better it gets, but you need to focus deliberately to get it started and to maintain its momentum.
Focus on the things in your EXISTING environment that help create an uplifting, enthusiastic, excited, happy, joyful, lighthearted State of Being, and additional elements like these will be drawn to you to rendezvous with.
You must STILL attend to your vibration by doing your internal work (such as reinforcing positive affirmations and self-talk) but focusing deliberately on the gems in your life helps a lot.
High performance athletes know…
Consider a high-performance athlete, such as a high diver, a fencer, or a martial artist.
Each spends time VISUALIZING what they want to execute, and they focus on attaining a suitable physical, mental, and emotional state, or form, or posture, or stance to execute their moves adeptly and effectively.
This takes both mental and physical training and the emotional maturity to maintain their composure, and not become disheartened or unravel if they “choke” and mess up a dive, a fencing technique, martial arts kata, or lose a sparring match.
Professionals hold it together and remain upbeat,
optimistic, and focused to MAINTAIN their state,
even if circumstances are not what they prefer.
They KEEP their composure and balance… they learn, and continue moving forward, determined, and fully EXPECTING, to accomplish the level of achievement they are focused on.
It certainly helps if they have a coach, but when focusing deliberately on life, you need to be your own coach (although sometimes a spouse or friend can help you, or you can help each other).
Transfer and apply…
Focus deliberately on all the aspects of your life that ARE going right and are as you want them to be, then transfer and APPLY some of the positivity and enthusiasm to the more challenging aspects of your life, and VISUALIZE them playing out in an ideal way that FEELS just as good.
Visualize accomplishing your area of challenge just like the Olympic athlete does for their high dive, or fencing maneuver, or martial arts form, or sparring routine.
You are training yourself to be a vibrational athlete
in everyday living by appreciating and focusing deliberately
on where you see yourself being, and how great that feels.
Focusing deliberately helps establish and maintain the
State of Being conducive to creating desired circumstances.
The exact FORM of the circumstance manifested may be different to what you visualized but will contain the same vibration and feeling and qualities. Often they are even BETTER than imagined.
The Universe UNDERSTANDS what you want, all you need to do is create a conducive State to ENABLE its delivery to you.
The form is negotiable,
but the vibration is the same.
Focusing deliberately is a 3k skill…
Focusing deliberately during daily living is a skill that typically is NOT taught, or even recognized as being important, in the 2k paradigm, but it is a KEY element in optimizing your life experience in the 3k paradigm.
Spoilers…
There are numerous situations in our 2k world that can distract, diminish, and SHIFT your focus AWAY from wanted to unwanted, and sabotage your focus.
We will discuss several of these later in this page, as well as how to sidestep them to avoid having your focus hijacked, and to help you maintain your desired State of Being.
But first a story…
Planet Quad…
One upon a time in a galaxy far, far away there was a planet named Quad.
The adults on Quad loved their children very much and parents delighted in each stage of their child’s development. They delighted when newborns first opened their eyes, and when they first recognized their parents’ faces and followed them around the room with their gaze. They delighted when infants realized the pink stubs slapping them in their face were their own limbs and realized that, with some concentration, they could control them deliberately.
When infants learned to lift their head, eventually roll over and lift themselves up on all fours, parents were ecstatic. But when their infant began crawling on all fours, they were happiest of all, so much so that they held a celebration to recognize that their offspring had finally reached their “locomotion maturity,” their child was finally able to crawl around like a full-fledged adult.
Because, you see, on planet Quad, everyone, even adults, got around on all fours. When they needed to go somewhere, they crawled.
All the billions of inhabitants on Quad, when they wanted to get somewhere else other than where they were, crawled. As long as anyone could remember this had been the best way to get around, and there were whole industries that supported this reality.
When someone wanted to carry something, they couldn’t use their arms or hands, so they placed items in baskets strapped to their backs… like they were beasts of burden. Shoes and boots lasted a long time since only the toes of these touched the ground, but there was a booming business supplying kneepads and hand pads because these wore out frequently. There was also a brisk trade in helmets, because when crawling for extended periods, necks got tired, so people spent their days looking down and often bashed heads into obstacles and other crawlers. So, helmets were used to minimize injuries.
Yes, life was pretty good on Quad, all the residents agreed. That is, until The Dream.
The Dream...
One night, a young adult had a dream where they crawled towards a thicket covered in gnarly green vines and saw a wizard on the other side. The wizard had kind eyes the colour of turquoise, a long white beard, and his manner suggested he was very old and wise.
The youth, whose name was Yoot, and the wizard stared at each other. The wizard flashed the slightest smile, and at that instant, Yoot heard a word boom in his mind. The word was…
“Arise.”
The wizard, seeing the puzzled look on Yoot’s face, grabbed hold of some vines and elongated its body in a way Yoot had never seen before, until the wizard’s body was vertical with only its feet touching the ground. When the wizard let go of the vines, he remained upright. Yoot was stunned, and as the wizard smiled down, poof, Yoot awoke in his bed, drenched in sweat.
Three days later the dream recurred, except this time with the wizard’s encouragement, Yoot grabbed hold of the vines and lifted himself up until he was high above looking down on the wizard.
Yoot was amazed at his change in perspective.
From up high he could see beyond obstacles that previously blocked his view. He could see further and take in more of the terrain that surrounded him.
When he shifted his weight from one foot to the other, he found he could move about faster than crawling.
Yoot looked back at the wizard who was smiling broadly. Yoot thought to ask the wizard if this was all possible during waking life or just in dreams, but before Yoot could speak, the wizard answered back in Yoot’s head, with one word…
“Try.”
Then poof, the wizard was gone and Yoot was back in his bed.
The next day Yoot found a quiet place in the forest with small saplings he could use to pull himself upright, and after several failed attempts, he found he could stand for a few moments before falling back down.
Each day Yoot returned to the forest and practised lifting himself up on just his two legs. Soon, Yoot found he didn’t need the saplings to elevate himself. Furthermore, he could move around with confidence on just two legs.
Yoot was very careful to make sure no one saw him, for fear they would misunderstand and criticize, scold, and admonish him. Yoot was excited about his new skills but had no one to share them with. He almost missed the wizard and being able to show him his new capabilities.
That night, Yoot dreamed of the wizard, but in this dream, there were no vines or thicket of trees. He and the wizard were walking alongside each other, both upright.
As Yoot formed questions in his mind, immediately the wizard answered them, without words, the ideas and concepts and words forming in Yoot’s mind.
Soon the two of them arrived at a glade with a crystal clear, spring-fed stream running through it.
Yoot looked at the water and realized he could see right through it and see every detail of the riverbed beneath the stream. Yoot asked the wizard how such clarity could exist. The wizard answered with just three words…
“Look, See, Know.”
The wizard saw the frustration on Yoot’s face and was ready when Yoot blurted out,
“Well now that I’ve looked and seen and know, what am I supposed to do now? I don’t fit in anymore, crawling with the others seems backward. I don’t know who to be, where to go, or what to do. Curse you wizard for having ever shown me all this when I can’t use it!”
The wizard looked patiently and lovingly at the angry Yoot. “Sorry,” said Yoot in his mind, “I didn’t really mean that.” The wizard smiled indicating he had received Yoot’s thought.
Yoot and the wizard sat quietly for a while, just breathing, and taking in the beauty and serenity of the glade and the crystal-clear stream that was flowing. They just sat there, on adjacent rocks, absorbing the magnificence and beauty of creation.
Slowly, the wizard pivoted to face Yoot. Gently, he took both Yoot’s hands and stared so deeply at him Yoot felt he might tumble into those turquois eyes that seemed to see right down into his soul.
This time when the wizard spoke, Yoot did not just hear it in his head, he felt it in his chest, in his heart, radiating down past his stomach out the soles of his feet. He felt it radiating upward through his throat, through his mind and out the crown of his head where it sputtered and discharged into the Universe like electricity.
And accompanying this profound sensation came a word, an idea, that filled Yoot up like a vessel until it gushed and overflowed. The message encoded in the idea vibration was…
“TEACH.”
Yoot’s face dropped, like the bottom falling out of a container...
“I can’t do that. Please, don’t ask that. No one would listen. No one would have any interest,” Yoot pleaded, “I can’t.”
The wizard looked at Yoot gently and said in Yoot’s mind,
“MANY would be interested, THOUSANDS ARE interested, you just need to find each other, and MILLIONS more are searching for something, they just don’t know WHAT “IT” is.”
“Let them see you walking, upright, confident and crystal clear, able to see what they cannot from down where they are, from where you once were.
When they approach you, and many will, reach out, lift them up like the vines and the thicket lifted you up.
Let them LOOK and see what you can SEE, show them what you have come to KNOW and let them DECIDE for themselves if this is also for them.”
“If they decide they are not ready, do not be concerned.
Smile, bid them well, and move on to others who ARE hungry for what you offer to share.”
Suddenly, before Yoot could object, poof, just like before, the wizard was gone and Yoot was back in his bed, but this time his bedclothes and the bed sheets were cool and dry.
Over the next few weeks, Yoot revealed his knowing and upright ways. His parents were mortified and alarmed for his wellbeing.
“Oh my,” they exclaimed, “What have we done wrong?”
“You cannot do this!”, they declared. “We forbid it. This is blasphemy.
Everyone knows the proper way to get around in this world is to crawl, keep your head down and wear your helmet, and be safe.
This has been our way and the way of our world for millennia.
Who are you to upset this supreme, God-given system?
You are wrong, you are LOST!
You must repent immediately and cast away any thoughts of this demon wizard and his sinful ways, along with his insidious mind control.
We will take you to the holy man who will exorcise this evil from you.
Then you will return to just as before and we will never speak of this again.
We will forget the shame you have brought on our family this day.”
Yoot just stood there silently looking at them. “Well,” thought Yoot, “I guess I won’t be going on any upright strolls in the forest with good old Mum and Dad anytime soon.”
Nevertheless, Yoot remained strong and was undeterred.
Many of Yoot’s friends gave him the same dread-filled reaction as his parents, but there were some who were curious and wanted to learn. Some of them began trying the “upright shuffle” as they called it and found that, with a little practice, they could do it too. They were surprised how much they liked it, and how many benefits it brought to their daily lives, especially the elevated perspective, swiftness, and agility.
Initially those practising these new ways met in private but soon some began revealing their abilities to others. Many who saw were shocked and appalled, but others were intrigued. As more tried and adopted these new upright ways, they found their lives improved, and these improvements were seen by those around them. Some observers began asking how they did it and to teach them. Even Yoot’s parents quietly made enquiries.
Soon many who were living this new way, were also teaching. Others, who said they didn’t want to teach, were still teaching by living their lives in plain view.
One day Yoot was asked to explain the essence of this new way in just a few words that would be easy to remember.
Yoot paused, his eyes glazed over slightly as he thought back to his first meeting with the wizard, which seemed so long time ago.
He recalled the wizard’s first words to him, that he heard in his mind that first day, and to these words, Yoot added his own perspective.
He turned to the one asking the question, smiled slightly, and said…
“Yes, there is a phrase… and it goes like this…
Arise…
Arise and focus deliberately on what you want and where you want to go.”
And as the questioner stood there, upright, absorbing what Yoot had just shared, Yoot waited patiently. And as he did so, in his mind, Yoot could see the wizard smiling at him, and in his mind Yoot smiled too.
“Arise and focus deliberately on what you want and where you want to go.”
So, what are the
Main takeaways from Yoot's story?
We saw that…
- Being stuck in the old way of thinking and doing, LIMITS growth.
- Lifting yourself up to achieve a higher perspective REVEALS MORE of the terrain around and adjacent to an issue, object, or challenge.
- Having the CONFIDENCE to consider, evaluate and TRY something new, and having the persistence to PRACTISE and eventually master it, is the path to expansion, growth, and NEW possibilities.
- It takes COURAGE to buck established trends, thinking and behaviour, and to BE VISIBLE, and follow a new path.
- Transformation begins with INDIVIDUALS and spreads by example and results.
Just like Yoot, when we ARISE, stand upright, see things differently, then FOCUS deliberately, our life experience changes, new worlds open to us, and the possibilities are ENDLESS.
But where do we start?
We can begin by opening our mind and INCREASING our means of perception, to acquire additional information and increase our AWARENESS.
Increased awareness helps reveal…
- the relationship between elements,
- options for improvement,
- and possible paths forward.
How DO we typically perceive,
and how do we expand our means of perception?
Your perception spectrum…
The more information you can PERCEIVE the more you have available to FOCUS upon. Conversely, your ability to focus is limited by the range of frequencies you can you perceive… your perception spectrum.
So, what are some of the channels of information you have available to you in your perception spectrum?
Human auditory spectrum…
HUMAN hearing typically ranges between
20Hz – 20,000Hz
whereas DOGS can hear 64Hz – 44,000Hz
and a PORPOISE can hear from
75Hz – 150,000Hz.
A human cannot be expected to focus deliberately on a dog whistle in the 23,000 – 54,000Hz range since they cannot hear sounds in this frequency range.
To focus, you must first be able to perceive.
Human visual spectrum…
The electromagnetic frequency range is vast…
…spanning from 1pm (0.000000000001 metres)
to 100 Mm (100,000,000 metres),
a range which spans…
…20 orders of magnitude.
However, the portion perceptible by human eyes is only 380nm – 760nm, which is only…
0.00000000000038% of this range.
A human cannot see beyond this range
given the limits of our
visual perceptive abilities.
Have you ever wondered how much we’re missing in the 99.999999999962% that we cannot see?
Temp. & vibratory perception…
Humans can sense temperatures from radiant sources, such as a stove heating element, or by contact with an object, such as a warm cup of cocoa.
People can feel low frequency vibrations, such as the vibrating of a cellphone, or an earthquake.
They can also perceive through smells and tastes.
Because they are so vibrant, people perceive almost exclusively through their five senses,
…But is there more?
Emotional perception…
Humans can perceive meaning through printed word, speech, music, and other sounds, as well as the meanings of certain smells (such as a skunk), or a specific taste (such as grandma’s cookies remembered from childhood).
Touch can also communicate information, for example, a gentle caress, versus a slap in the face.
Voice can communicate emotions, such as when singing, or when shouting and yelling in anger.
Emotions can be communicated visually, through sound, and through body movement (such as dance) or in any combinations of these.
There’s also the phenomenon of “reading between the lines” based on HOW ideas are presented, or what is NOT said as part of the conversation.
These channels of emotional perception require what they call “the social skills” to be able to read others’ body language or behaviours to discern meaning.
Perceptive instruments…
Scientific instruments can expand our range of perception.
Microscopes, telescopes, Geiger counters, neutrino detectors, electroencephalograms, ultrasound, radiographic and magnetic resonance imaging technologies can REVEAL aspects of reality that exist, but are beyond our human abilities to perceive.
SOME of these technologies are easy to accept, such as an X-ray being like a shadow of your skeleton cast on a piece of photographic film.
OTHER aspects of reality revealed by instruments, are more difficult to accept.
The concepts involved in quantum mechanics, quantum entanglement, the interaction of consciousness with the quantum world, and the idea that objects that appear “solid” are mostly empty space, are harder to accept.
It’s easier to embrace concepts that seem compatible with existing understandings, especially those we can observe with our five senses and experience ourselves.
But accepting aspects of REALITY beyond our five senses, and what seems familiar, is crucial to expanding our understanding of the world and our interactions with it.
To deny electricity or radio waves exist because we can’t see them seems nonsensical. It’s also much easier to accept them when we use them as part of our daily lives.
What else exists that we are unaware of?
Is advancing science, technology, and instrumentation
the ONLY means available to expand human perception?
Can human perception and focus be expanded by other means?
Expanding human perception…
Is it possible human perception can be expanded through acquired skills, the same way social skills can be acquired to read and interpret behaviour?
If everything is energy, and it is, is it possible human perception can be expanded to perceive energy, thought, or emotion BEYOND that which registers with our five senses, or on existing instruments?
Empaths, Intuitives, Psychics, Channelers, and Mediums are examples of people who have expanded their human perception to DISCERN information that is out of reach to those who have not developed these abilities.
These perceptive abilities may be innate, or they may be developed with practice.
To learn more about such abilities,
check out our Resources page.
Expanding your perceptive abilities expands the information available to you, personally, from which to choose what to DELIBERATELY focus upon.
It broadens the menu and increases the number of channels.
It’s like expanding your home audio system from mono, to stereo, to 7.1 surround sound.
The breadth, depth and quality of the information and the experience is more expanded, immersive, and detailed.
We encourage you to acquire perception information from as many channels of awareness as you can develop, and INCLUDE them as part of your deliberate focusing.
Focus, our everyday choice…
In every moment of every day, we have CHOICE of what we FOCUS upon.
The objects of our focus can be depressing or uplifting; disempowering or inspiring; destructive or constructive, negative or positive. It’s our choice.
Discern, pay attention to, recognize, then CHOOSE
what you prefer to focus on, DELIBERATELY.
In P3 You Create Your Reality, we explained how what you focus upon, you create, draw to you, rendezvous with, are watchful for, and are more attuned to see and interpret, in the ways you expect.
- What you put out is what you get back.
- What you expect, you draw to you and rendezvous with.
- What you are looking to see, you see more of.
- What you focus on significantly affects the quality of your life experience.
So…
What you FOCUS upon matters.
But most people don’t know this. They may reject the idea that everyone is creating their own reality. Many people believe that life is random or determined by fate or controlled by their version of their God.
People may acknowledge platitudes like “Your attitude determines your altitude” but they don’t really understand and get that what they are focusing on is what they are drawing into their reality.
The form may be different, but the essence, the substance,
and the feeling that results will match.
It is important to maintain your focus, but there are many situations in the 2k paradigm world that can shift your focus away from what you prefer. It’s worthwhile being aware of these potholes and how to steer around them to avoid allowing your focus to be hijacked.
Avoiding focus hijacking…
Many influences try to TELL you WHAT to focus upon and what to be concerned about.
Here are some examples of types of focus hijacking to be aware of and some ideas how to avoid them…
Conversations…
depressing or uplifting?
Depressing…
The conversation might be the latest scandal your friend heard about, some gossip going around, or something outrageous, alarming, or shocking that happened.
It might be something they heard on the “news” about something that’s not right with the world, or something they personally experienced… and they can’t wait to tell you all about it.
It may be details of the latest diagnosis they or their friend just got from their doctor, or some political drama or celebrity gossip.
It might include explicit details of who said what and did what to whom.
It may be capped by your friend’s emphatic exclamation… “Ain’t it awful” about so and so and what’s happening with such and such…” This is your invitation to join in and play along.
Don’t take the bait…
Uplifting…
The conversation could be uplifting, like recalling the fun they had last weekend, the great conversation or interaction they had with a stranger, a funny joke or story they heard, or an article they read packed with useful ideas, empowering information, great perspectives and encouraging outlooks.
It could be an awesome, inspiring, uplifting conversation. If so…
Milk it for all the good feelings you can extract from it…
If necessary, change the game…
However, if you’re not enjoying the conversation, change the subject. Explain that you don’t want to talk about such things anymore. You might say, “Let’s talk about ____” or, “Tell me about_____” then suggest a more enjoyable topic.
If they persist in talking about something you find depressing or uninteresting, remove yourself from the conversation, if necessary, by getting up and walking away.
Avoid foolish conversation games…
Medical Maladies Mouth…
This involves discussing everything that CAN go wrong with the human body.
In this game people compete to see who can present the most awful scenario or horrible story about what can go wrong with one’s health.
They talk about PROBLEMS they have, about diseases their family and friends and acquaintances have, the symptoms, the difficulties, the discomfort, the pain, the dire prognoses, the treatments, or lack thereof, and the extent to which treatments work, or do not work.
They talk about what was tried to avoid or remedy the condition, and which failed.
It’s a morbid fascination with everything that can go wrong and all evidence to say that it will. The more extreme, dramatic, gory, and lurid, the better.
It’s like each person takes a big energetic “dump” then shares the most awful parts with everyone.
Flush these crap conversations!
Change the subject, your exposure, or your conversation partner(s).
I can’t, can’t, can’t…
This game is played by listing everything the person can’t do.
They can’t remember, can’t learn, can’t change, can’t, can’t, can’t. It’s a litany list of excuses for their inabilities, their limiting beliefs, and their failing faculties, which they claim are the product of inevitable decline.
It’s them arguing for their limitations.
Would these same people accept the “I Can’t” excuse from their young child or grandchild? Would they accept… “I can’t tie my shoe, I can’t brush my teeth, make my bed, figure out my homework, learn to ride my bike.”
Would they say to them, “Oh that’s OK dear, I accept that you’re incapable and hopeless.” Or, would they say…
“It’s easy, I’ll show you how.” “If I can do it, so can you.”
If these complainers and excuse-makers expect others to try to learn, and do, why don’t they do so themselves?
The more they focus on what they can’t do, the more they’ll find they’re unable to do.
If they talked more about what they CAN do, perhaps they’d find they’re more capable.
You may have heard the saying…
“Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right.”
That saying applies to us all. The excuse-makers may say…
“When you’re in my situation and my age, you’ll understand.”
Don’t believe it. Just because they’ve chosen to make it THEIR reality, doesn’t mean you must make it YOURS. There’s plenty of examples of the OPPOSITE of what they’re believing, being true.
People who believe in themselves find they CAN, and DO… No excuses required!
Just because others choose to focus on limitations or unwanted… you DON’T have to.
Poor Me…
This is a pity party thrown by the “victim.”
Players dredge up “poor me” stories from the past about when they were mistreated or disadvantaged by situations and other people.
The objective is to gain the most attention and sympathy from the audience, to receive consoling, and even the prized, “That’s Awful” proclamation, or the highly sought after “Awww…” response.
Choose to OPT OUT of these games and RSVP to decline attending their pity party.
Perpetual victim, drama-thon…
In this game people use VICTIMIZATION as an excuse for under-performing and absolving themselves of responsibility and accountability for their choices.
For these people, there’s no personal accountability. It’s always someone else’s fault,
NEVER theirs.
It’s always about the”wrong” the other person did TO them that was unfair, offensive, improper, or outrageous, as opposed to THEIR choice of response that could have been different and might have remedied the situation.
Victims don’t want remedy or solutions;
they want an AUDIENCE to provide the attention,
sympathy, and the agreement they crave.
Often, they have low self worth or abandonment issues.
Theatre needs an audience. You don’t have to be theirs.
The problem with THAT is…
This game is played by those who feel their purpose is to POINT OUT everything that’s wrong or lacking with a given subject just in case you overlooked it.
This makes them feel smart and superior to those who “naively” focus on the good and pleasant parts of a situation and are just happy to enjoy them.
Fortunately, the problem-finder will “save” these happy people from their folly by pointing out everything that might go wrong, everything to be concerned and scared about, and all the reasons why NOT to do the activity due to its “risk”.
They focus on what’s wrong rather than what’s right. They see the glass a smidge empty, rather than nearly full.
They always have bad news to share about something
lest you get overly happy, joyful, or carefree.
They’re happy to tell you what to worry about and be a wet blanket to smother and crush the joy out of any idea, suggestion, or occasion.
Often, they lack the ability to experience fun, joy
and laughter themselves,
and are jealous of those who can.
They may lack self worth and crave the attention and status that comes from finding something, awful and alarming that others have missed. The “find-fault” gene is integral to their core identity, but you don’t have to make it a part of yours.
There’s an old saying that goes…
“A little of them goes a long way.”
Be the fun, uplifting person that others want more of, who they want to be around, and who they look forward to seeing, rather than being the sourness they would rather be done with and be glad to leave behind.
There’s another saying that goes…
“All people brighten a room, some when they enter it… and some when they leave.”
Choose to brighten with your arrival and presence, not with your departure and absence.
Sidestep the silliness
of ALL these games….
These games are bizarre, unhelpful, dysfunctional behaviours.
They are staples of the 2k paradigm but have no place in the 3k paradigm.
DON’T squander your energy or soil your vibration playing these destructive games.
- Change the subject…
- Tell a better story, or just…
- Remove yourself from the conversation and if necessary, the players’ presence.
You don’t have to sit, steep, and play in their crap, just because they do.
Arise, and focus deliberately on what you want and where you want to go.
That sounds great, you may say,
…but what ELSE can I do to
Rise Above and focus on what I prefer in my daily life?
Disconnect from malignant media…
Turn off the radio…
The radio may be playing ads trying to sell you something or frighten you about the latest threat.
The announcer may be discussing the latest trendy topic of the moment and what everyone thinks about it.
If you’re NOT finding the information, the ads, or the program useful, if you are not enjoying the experience, simply CHANGE the frequency (channel).
Switch it off completely, or if others are listening, put on your headphones or put in your earbuds, or WALK AWAY to remove yourself from unwanted exposure.
Take care of and preserve the quality of your own vibration…
Switch off the TV…
Television is a very effective medium for controlling the perceptions and emotions of the masses who tune in religiously to this brainwashing. Sidestep unhelpful, “idiot box” programming such as the following…
Pablum programming…
“Pablum programming” such as afternoon soap operas or evening sitcoms feature recycled, sandbox-simple story lines, and characters demonstrating arguing, deceit, disrespect, and infighting.
Such programming tends to teach and normalize such crude, low-vibration behaviour, and promotes dysfunction.
Nonsense “entertainment” …
Other programs may fill your mind with nonsense “entertainment” to keep you DISTRACTED from thinking about more significant, relevant topics.
- Topics such as, why are so many programs laden with ads for pharmaceutical drugs that many take, yet health doesn’t seem to improve?
- Topics like, why do ads question your wellbeing and say “ask your doctor” to find something wrong with you?
- Topics like, why is there an epidemic of chronic disease for which more drugs are pedalled?
- Topics like, why do we tell kids to say “No” to “illicit” drugs, yet we gorge ourselves on the officially sanctioned ones?
- Topics like, why is so much programming the intellectual equivalent of “empty calories?”
Consider, what would be a more enjoyable and constructive use of my time and focus?
Perhaps some probing and thoughtful discussions or programming would be more worthwhile than watching mindless drivel like “Keeping up with the Kardashians.”
There is a range of alternatives out there, including uplifting documentaries, spiritually-based programs, and thought-provoking or humourous stories that inspire, make you laugh, and which showcase the best of humanity.
Be selective about what you give your energy, attention and focus to.
“News” shows…
So-called “news” shows tell you what to focus on and what to think about them, as well as the “officially sanctioned” response they want others to see and emulate.
Don’t naively buy into the news and just accept it at face value.
Recognize that someone selected the content for their own reasons based on their interests, bias, and agenda.
Adjust and offset your views to compensate for their bias
Question, think, and decide for yourself what you believe, what makes sense, and what feels right.
Business shows and stock markets…
These shows promote money as being the PRIMARY concern in life and imply that it should be your main motivator and pursuit as well.
Their focus on money can be a PRYBAR to separate you from your TRUE values and ideals and from having a more balanced view of life.
It’s also one more way to train you to surrender your decision making to the so-called experts who talk endlessly about market indicators and expectations.
It’s more indoctrination of the “Trust the experts” mantra.
It’s never-ending since there’s always another market active somewhere or some analyst ready to share their (network-approved) opinions.
It’s like a looping infomercial for GREED
designed to captivate your focus.
These shows don’t interview dying people in hospices because their “investment” advice would likely be to spend more time with your loved ones, appreciate the beauty of each day, and spend less time worrying about money.
This isn’t the perspective business show
advertisers want to promote.
They promote lack and limitation, and want you focused on fear of loss, quick scores, short-term profits, insatiable greed and their sponsor’s products and services they claim can yield these.
Avoid being captured by the ticker-tape trance…
Assign money it’s rightful place in your list of priorities.
Hire a professional investment manager you trust, check in periodically if you must, but…
…live your life free from this preoccupation, worry, and distraction.
Advertising…
Advertising is meant to make you doubt your ability to thrive without the advertiser’s product or service.
Advertisers set near-impossible standards and try to make you feel inadequate by comparison, before offering their “solution.”
Consider their offerings, decide for yourself what’s right for you, make your purchasing decision, then …
…move on and live your life, free of advertising “noise.”
Dismiss political theatre…
Political theatre is like all-star wrestling.
FANS choose their superhero and root for them like children cheering their favourite comic book character.
There’s bright, coloured lights, flashy glitz, and glitter, pounding, upbeat music, bluster, and slogans, and of course, threats and promises about how each character will crush their opponent and emerge victorious. A sideshow for simpletons.
There’s pushing and shoving, pratfalls and flips to amuse and entrance idiots, but nothing really changes.
Next time around circus tickets will be sold, another election held, and the public will again be FLEECED, while the event promoters and spectacle organizers get rich and maintain control of the masses.
It would be comic were it not for the fact these sock puppets are being trusted to lead our country and work for the best interests of the people.
Many people still believe the politics carnival show is real and genuine, DESPITE obvious discrepancies between what’s promised, and what’s delivered.
At election time, feel-good promises and scenarios are paraded for the gullible to consume, but most of these are sugar-coated fantasies that will never be enacted once the chosen ACTOR is elected.
Same old carnival...
It doesn’t matter what colour or stripe or political party they are or what mask they wear.
It’s four more years of same old, same old until the next carnival rolls into town.
The most obvious lies are made by those already in power seeking re-election who PROMISE to do great things next term even though they failed to do them in the current or prior term.
It’s like an abusive partner promising they’ve reformed, so you take them back and, surprise, surprise, they return to abusing you. Except electoral abuse is perpetrated on the entire nation, not just one individual.
No matter who is “voted” in, nothing much changes that truly benefits the masses, unless it benefits elected officials and their owners even more.
Same broken promises...
Each election is like the Peanuts cartoon of Lucy pulling away the football Charlie Brown is winding up to kick at the last moment.
Charlie’s foot flies through empty air, landing him flat on his back while Lucy laughs that, incredibly, he fell for it (literally) once again.
Charlie doesn’t learn, and neither it seems does the voting public.
Same gullible, trusting public...
Until the public wises up to the scam, educates itself, and makes choices based on the candidate’s substance and their track record of benefitting the people they claim to serve rather than voting based on superficialities and marketing hype, nothing much will change.
Same failed leadership...
An uneducated population deserves the poor leadership they voted for.
An intelligent, mature, population deserves the right to discipline officials who fail to deliver on their promises…
…and to FIRE them for incompetence, conflict of interest, corruption, or treason within WEEKS, not years.
Vote for the candidate you prefer, but don’t waste excess energy on this theatre distraction.
Focus on REAL ways you can
Embody POSITIVE change…
Leave the corporate-owned, idiot, court jester politicians to their foolishness, lies, and deceit.
Instead, focus on embodying real, positive change in yourself, your life, and in your community. Seek cooperation and alignment to accomplish shared objectives.
Let others see your choices and your example of living your ideals and their results.
Let the politicians either join in and serve as promised once they find their integrity, or let them recede into irrelevance and disappear.
Take constructive action to improve yourself and the world rather than waiting for some saviour, clown politician to do it for you.
If the “cavalry” does eventually come riding over the hill to save the day, great, you will have done your part to help them.
If they do not, you will have done your part to help yourself and your community.
Cast aside bogus newspapers
and magazines…
Sensational articles…
Many “articles” or social media posts present attention-grabbing, skewed perspectives and “click-bait” headlines to divide, incite rage, shape public opinion and control the masses.
Recognize the intent of the information being pedalled and the sensational way it is being presented, and then temper your response to it accordingly.
Is the article supported by credible, unbiased sources?
Were all sides of the issue presented evenly?
Or does it seem the writer was influenced or paid for their skewed slant, support, or endorsement?
Does the information make sense
as presented?
How does it feel and how well does it INTEGRATE and correlate with similar data from other trustworthy sources?
Do your own “fact checking” knowing that many officially sanctioned “fact checkers” are heavily biased or paid to propagandize a certain perspective or narrative.
CLOSE the article, SCROLL PAST the post, and don’t get sucked down toxic “rabbit holes.”
Most legacy media is no longer trust-able, believable, balanced, or honest.
Many lost their independence when they were bought out and consolidated into mega-corporations all controlled by the same corporate owners.
To survive, others sold out to governments and advertisers who keep them PROPPED UP with subsidies and ad revenue.
As a result, both provide favourable presentation of products, services, ideology, and propaganda, and obediently sell the scripted story lines they are given.
Be alert to their true allegiance, bias, and agenda, and TEMPER the “information” and “news” they peddle accordingly.
Be selective…
Just because that newspaper or magazine is available in the waiting room, or the TV is broadcasting…
…doesn’t mean you need to pick it up and read it or listen to it.
Read a book or listen to music or an audio-book that YOU brought.
Do your own research…
Find MULTIPLE sources of information that seem trustworthy, empowering, and uplifting and offer practical ideas that benefit all.
FILTER and INTEGRATE the information they provide and DRAW your own conclusions about what’s TRUE.
Determine what you TRULY want…
To GET what you truly want, you must KNOW what you truly want.
You may think you know, but do you?
How much of what you think you want is INFLUENCED by what you were told you SHOULD want.
Now is the time to reexamine these assumptions of what you want to see if you are truly in alignment with them. Consider the following and see how they rank in terms of your wants and desires…
- Health
- Happiness
- Freedom
- Unstructured free time
- A best friend and life partner
- Travel
- Money
- Security
- Predictability and routine
- Social involvement
- Friends
- Family interactions
- Family, children, pets

- Sense of contributing

Cultivate the feeling, not the form…
To create what you want in your reality, it’s important to FOCUS on the feeling of what it is you want, that is, how you imagine it will FEEL when you have it.
Imagine possible scenarios that EMBODY the feeling of what you want, but do not become attached to the details and specifics you are using to help generate those feelings.
The form is negotiable, the feeling is not.
For example, you may imagine you want a life partner that is tall, dark, and handsome, or voluptuous and beautiful, but is this form what’s really of primary importance?
Maybe what’s truly MORE important to you is…
- Being completely comfortable around them…
- Trusting them implicitly…
- Companionship and sharing common interests together…
- Having a sense of humour and eagerness to find humour in everyday occurrences…
- Laughing freely and heartily…
- Having energy to join you on adventures…
- Having a love of nature and the natural world…
- Being intelligent and open-minded…
- Being kind, compassionate, patient and understanding…
- Being vibrant, alive, healthy, and physically fit…
- Being respectful of each person’s choices, desires, ambitions, interests, and freedom to pursue and enjoy life as THEY desire; but hopefully still including you…
Perhaps you want ALL these things, but not necessarily with another person.
You might prefer to live alone, independently, yet enjoy all these things with others, just not primarily with ONE significant other.
Perhaps you would be totally happy living alone where there is no one else to consider or make any allowances or compromises for, and no one who might limit your growth and exploration, or anyone’s shadow you might be partially eclipsed by.
It's all personal…
These and other aspects are all just personal preferences and choices available to be made by you, depending on your priorities, wants and desires.
None are right or wrong, even if your society or culture would like to tell you otherwise.
It’s not their standards that are important,
it’s YOURS that matter.
YOU are the one living YOUR life, not THEM. You came here to be joyful, so don’t compromise this for the sake of pleasing other people.
Focus deliberately on what YOU decide you want.
Find a way to be joyful and include the elements you want, as part of the total package of your life. A package that you can revise and re-tune as you grow, and your interests evolve.
Priorities change…
The priorities you have in your 60s will be different than those in your 30s or 90s, because you will not be the same person at each stage.
Morph, adjust and flow, but to do so adeptly.
Check in periodically with yourself to see if you are still being who you truly want to be and still getting what you truly want.
A desired goal may not pan out as expected.
No problem; just re-adjust it.
Once a milestone has been reached, from your new vantage point, choose the next direction or goal that is most appealing given the options you can now imagine.
Declare the intention to receive THIS or something BETTER, knowing that the Universe can deliver opportunities and results far beyond what you can imagine.
Off course, but on target…
Consider an aircraft flying to its chosen destination.
If you examine its precise heading at each instant, you see that it is off course most of the time, and the extrapolation of that exact heading will not get it to the chosen destination.
However, the pilot, by constantly adjusting course to compensate for atmospheric conditions, crosswinds, storm-clouds to be avoided, etc., eventually gets to the “target destination.”
Life’s target destination…
In life, there is no set destination in the typical sense like there is on an airline flight.
There is only State of Being.
If your DESIRED state of being is fun, adventure, enjoyment, satisfaction, happiness, growth, peace, appreciation, sharing, and you have these, then you have already ARRIVED.
Just keep adjusting your course to maintain these states. In a way, the State of Being IS the “target destination.”
However, you will NEVER be at you destination in terms of location, or lifestyle or in terms of experiences and personal growth and adventure.
These are ETERNAL, evolving, and ongoing, which is a good thing, because if these were all complete, there would be no point to being alive.
Being fully ALIVE means experiencing, growing, sharing, and having FUN and enjoyment DURING the process.
Surfing your life…
Like a surfer riding waves on the ocean, use your deliberate focus to ADJUST your balance and posture, flex your muscles, read the conditions of the water around you, all while enjoying the challenge and exhilaration of the ride.
If you lose your balance and get knocked off, just climb back on, give it another go, this time enriched by skill gained from your last tumble.
The goal isn’t to reach the beach. If it was, why did you paddle out in the first place? Why not stop after your first surfing run got you back to the beach?
Why did you keep surfing?
Because, the goal is not the destination, it’s the thrill of the challenge, the sensation of the experience, the learning and sense of accomplishment that comes from mastering each wave’s challenges, and then progressing to bigger waves, bigger challenges, bigger thrills, and greater proficiency.
It’s an ONGOING adventure,
…and so can be your life.
If you take a spill in life, just regain your composure, and then give it another go.
Skilled surfers focus on where they WANT to go and the challenges immediately around them that need to be addressed.
They don’t waste time imagining dealing with waves that haven’t arrived yet and likely never will, they don’t focus on the sharks or the reefs or the ocean bottom where they do NOT want to go.
They fix their gaze on the horizon and deal with what’s immediately in front of them.
Focus deliberately on WHAT you want, WHERE you want to go, and especially on the FEELING of the adventure of getting there…
…realizing that “there” will be just the jumping off point for your next adventure and that you will hop from each temporary, placeholder “destination” to the next.
STAND for what you believe and
WALK your own path…
Focusing deliberately means standing for what you believe and walking your own path.
Focus deliberately DOESN’T mean…
…trying to blend in at the expense of your values and ideals…
…trying to be invisible in your beliefs and your values to avoid controversy…
…“going along to get along” at the expense of your values and ideals…
…being silent when values and ideals you don’t agree with are being promoted…
…being a chameleon who changes its outward apparent values to blend in with whatever environment surrounds it…
…being a “Yes Man” who agrees with anyone and anything and sells out their values and ideals just to get what they want…
Focusing deliberately DOES mean…
…speaking up for what you believe is right…
…standing up for your ideals and what you believe would be best for the most…
…cultivating the essence, the feeling, the vibration, the attributes of what you desire, but allowing the form of it to be whatever best fulfills the essence…
…being open to plot twists and changes of direction…
…focusing on what you want, not what you don’t want…
…pursuing what you feel is possible and is your ideal and not settling for less…
…limiting exposure or disconnecting from whatever you determine is NOT constructive inspiring and uplifting…
…surrounding yourself with elements conducive to your enlightenment, expansion, growth, and joy…
…being comfortable with seeing things differently than others…
…acting differently than others to be in alignment with your values and ideals…
…walking toward that which you want and walking away from that which you do not…
Focusing deliberately means being your own person despite what others might like you to be.
Focusing deliberately means being genuine and authentic.
Life is MEANT to be enjoyable…
Be easy...
Try to have fun, have a sense of humour, laugh, be silly, and be joyful.
You’re only in this body for a short time… make the MOST of it.
Have the broadest range of experiences you can and ENJOY yourself!
Choose your response…
In every situation you have CHOICE of how you respond…
Try to see the benefit, try to see the humour.
Life is absurd… and beautiful.
Try to maintain a BALANCED perspective.
Avoid panicking or overreacting, flying off the handle, or jumping to the worst conclusion.
Try to MAINTAIN your composure.
It will help you think creatively to overcome challenges and rendezvous with solutions and paths forward.
Don’t worry…
Don’t worry about things that haven’t happened.
Make reasonable preparations, take reasonable precautions, be prepared as is reasonably possible, then LET IT GO.
Deal with issues as they arise.
Worrying about something that hasn’t happened and will likely not happen is like paying interest on a debt not yet incurred.
Be as happy, peaceful, and optimistic as you can in whatever situation you encounter.
Adopt the view that there is at least one solution to every challenge… and think of them as challenges, not problems.
Have confidence that there IS a simple solution and, in your ability, to easily rendezvous with it.
How exciting…
When something unexpected happens, try to adopt the view “How exciting!” and see the adventure in it.
View it as a “plot twist” in the story of your life.
Find the opportunity for learning and growth.
Be flexible...
Don’t stress if something you thought was important didn’t get done.
There’s time enough for everything that’s essential and truly matters.
If it didn’t happen today, maybe that’s because it DIDN’T need to.
- Perhaps the timing was wrong.
- Maybe some of the Cooperative Components are still being assembled.
- Maybe tomorrow or some other time will be ideal for the optimum unfolding for all involved.
TRUST in divine timing, and relax and flow with events as they present and play out.
Be silly…
Being silly can lighten the mood, release tension, and clear the channels for creative ideas and solutions to flood in.
Some of the best ideas begin as playful kidding and imagining, before realizing there is some practical application to be found there.
Sometimes the greatest gift you can share with another is a laugh at the absurdness of something silly.
Never miss an opportunity to make yourself or another feel better by laughing and being silly.
Be joyful…
So much depends on one’s perspective and outlook…
Seriousness and glumness don’t make the world a better place.
Being joyful and playful do that.
You do not need to have a furrowed brow and serious expression to be focused and thoughtful, and you sure as hell will be more creative and more enjoyable to be around if you have a smile on your face while you’re figuring out a puzzle or finding a solution.
The brightest, most creative people are that way because of the ENERGY they bring to a situation and finding solutions.
The serious, dull people of the world are too mired and stuck in the vibration of the problem to easily find a solution. They’re less likely to get there from the serious place where they are.
Be light and happy and joyful and creative and clever
and inventive, and resourceful and effective.
These traits all travel together as a pack and play and feed off each other.
Let them be the ROCKET FUEL that propels you to new heights.
Culture this chemistry of creativity, and you will be unstoppable.
Learn from the easy experiences
to avoid the more painful ones…
Recognize that many times the situation could have been worse.
Learn from easy lessons to avoid the difficult versions of them.
If you DON’T get the point, first go around, the concept will REAPPEAR in a more intense form until you get it.
The Universe will prod you with a feather and work its way up to a 2” x 4” between the eyes.
Reap the benefits of early learning when the costs are low.
Maximize the learning-to-cost ratio…
Ideally learn from what you see happen to others, although often the most memorable and transformative experiences are personal ones.
Be COMPASSIONATE with others.
One of the BENEFITS of learning the hard way is the EMPATHY you gain for OTHERS experiencing similar challenges.
Support and uplift them whenever possible, just as YOU would welcome support when you are experiencing your “growing pains.”
Find something to appreciate
in everything…
IMAGINE two people listening to opera music. One hates it; the other loves it. Now imagine the same difference of opinion for rap music, or country music, or live theatre, or Indian cuisine, or motorcycles, or anything else.
WHICH of these two people is having the richer, more satisfying life experience?
- The one who hates things, OR the one who loves things?
- The one who despises, OR the one who APPRECIATES?
You’re smart enough… you already know the answer….
IF you can find something to appreciate in EVERY situation you encounter,
THEN the more pleasure and joy you’ll find in it, and the more benefit you will extract from it.
Being deliberate with your focus means looking for things to appreciate in every circumstance.
Why??? Because…
Circumstances don’t matter… only State of BEING matters.
State of Being determines what you extract from your present experience, as well as what you attract and draw to you in your next experience.
CULTIVATE the STATE of being you WANT to experience and more circumstances that provide it will appear.
Focus deliberately on
Daily responses to challenges…
Fender-bender revelations…
IMAGINE having a fender-bender accident that has just changed your day and complicated your life.
How do you respond?
Getting angry and frustrated isn’t going to help anything.
Now you get to see who you really are, and what you are truly made of…
- What might your response to this reveal to you about yourself?
- Would your response be worth focusing on and understanding?
- Is your behaviour aligned with your values… or are you saying one thing, and doing another?
- Might some self introspection be worthwhile?
BEHOLD: *** The real-life challenge,
test, and great reveal has just begun… ***
Is this an opportunity to demonstrate how you handle yourself in such situations?
Can you find a way to be patient and understanding with the other driver? They don’t want this additional drama in their day either. Regardless of who’s “at fault” you might as well make the most of it.
Can you be gracious?
Find some humour in it?
Can you show them kindness by offering use of your cellphone, or something to drink or eat while you both wait for the tow trucks to arrive?
If they are upset and crying, can you comfort them?
If they are angry with themselves, can you soothe and calm them?
Look deeper…
It’s common to say…
“What did I do wrong to DESERVE this
bad thing happening to me?”
Maybe it’s everything you’ve been doing right…
…that ENABLED this good thing to happen to you…
Was this plot twist NEEDED to delay
your schedule?
IF life had proceeded as originally planned, what might you have rendezvoused with… or missed?
Is the delay causing you to be standing there by the side of the road saving you from being in the middle of an intersection being T-boned by a transport truck and receiving injuries requiring months of pain, discomfort, and recovery?
If so, how FORTUNATE for you!
Deeper connection...
Is there some deeper reason why you and the other driver are meeting like this?
Is there some connection
to be made?
Is your change in course leading you to a new friend who will eventually introduce you to the person of your dreams who later becomes your life partner?
If so, this is your lucky day!
It's easier to “talk the talk”
than it is to “walk the walk.”
You don’t really discover what you’re made of UNTIL you’re placed in the situation that challenges you and REVEALS your true nature.
- Do you CLAIM to be a loving, forgiving person, yet tear a strip off the other driver for messing up your vehicle and day?
- Do you CLAIM to be charitable and gracious, yet are hostile and hurl blame at the other person?
- Would your behaviour to them CHANGE in an instant if when you walked over to their vehicle you discovered they were someone you know from your church, or your coworker, your boss, a friend, or neighbour?
- Would you be KINDER to them if you knew you would be seeing them regularly in the future and would have to be ACCOUNTABLE to them and others for the way you behave today?
- Would your behaviour degrade if you felt cloaked by anonymity so you could be as nasty as you want because you’d never see them again?
A person reveals themselves by how they treat the “powerless”
who they think can do nothing for them.
Would you treat the other driver differently if they turned out to be the lead interviewer at the job interview you were just rushing to?
Do you think they’d be more, or less, likely to hire you based on the REAL-LIFE behaviour you’re demonstrating?
Were you planning on telling the interviewer that you’re “GREAT under pressure and in a crisis,”
…but are now demonstrating the OPPOSITE?
We REVEAL who we are by our RESPONSES to life’s challenges.
Until then, we may be just fooling others, and ourselves, regarding who we really are, what we would really do, or how we would really behave.
Focusing deliberately…
…means observing yourself and how you behave in real life to see if your actions are consistent and in ALIGNMENT with your values, beliefs, and ideals.
Do you see yourself
BEING who you CLAIM to be?
Do you demonstrate who you believe yourself to be, in your daily life?
- Question: If you think you have changed and left some undesired aspect of yourself behind, HOW will you truly know?
- Answer: You will truly know you’ve changed when a similar circumstance presents itself and you respond DIFFERENTLY.
Until this “litmus test” happens, it is all theory, speculation, and conjecture.
The proof of change is your changed RESPONSE.
FOCUS DELIBERATELY…
…on your daily responses to life’s challenges to truly SEE who you ARE and in what areas you truly HAVE grown, or may still WANT to grow.
Be the hero of your own life…
Be strong and independent and THINK and DECIDE for yourself.
Do what you feel in your heart is right, REGARDLESS of what everyone around you is believing, saying, and doing?
Cheer for the principled underdog in movies who stands up for their values and COMMIT to do the same in your own life.
AFFIRM and say to yourself…
“I always think for myself and do what I decide is right for me.”
“I never cave to peer pressure and COMPROMISE my values, no matter HOW much I’m paid to do what’s popular and trendy and what “society” says a “good” person should do. I have integrity!”
“I have grown to embrace this understanding, and my words and actions are ALIGNED with my values and ideals.”
Then, OBSERVE your actions to CONFIRM they’re CONSISTENT with your words.
Be the superhero of your OWN life and truly STAND UP for what YOU believe regardless of the choices of others.
Arise, and focus deliberately…
Like on planet Quad, ARISE, and FOCUS DELIBERATELY on where you want to go.
Learning to focus deliberately is like learning to walk upright… it takes balance and practice.
But it’s worth it…
When you rise above the crowd you can see so much more than those who are still crawling around helmet on, face down, bumping into things, not truly seeing where they are versus where they want to go.
Standing upright, you gain an elevated perspective,
a Plan view of the terrain, a real-life map
that shows you where you are relative to where you want to be.
Walking upright lets you take large, purposeful strides and move decisively, confidently, and swiftly. It lets you remove the beast-of-burden, carry basket from your back. It frees up your arms, and hands, and MIND to create and build.
Walking upright, & focusing deliberately, lets you achieve, discover, reveal, and share more of who you ARE, and what you are capable of. It’s enabling and empowering.
It’s your SUPERPOWER.
But it’s NOT a superpower that takes advantage of or exploits others. Quite the opposite.
It’s a superpower that anyone can learn and master.
Walking upright doesn’t force another to crawl, it shows them what THEY can also do if they so choose.
Focus deliberately, and let others SEE the results and be inspired to do likewise for themselves and for the benefit of ALL.
Be strong, and clear, and joyful, and generous.
Most of all, be free.
Be free to BE, or DO, or HAVE anything you can imagine, because all of this is possible, and is your birthright.
